  1. I just ordered my copy. Thank you for the coupon code. It worked great for me. Now to try to wait patiently for my copy. My only concern is that I might stay up all night reading it when I get it like I did when I bought the first book. I'm in suspense from your last post and also wondering how Guntram manages not to die of a heart attack daily. He must be on great drugs :D

  2. May I ask if the Substitute 2 will have a kindle edition?

  3. Dear Anonymous, I think you were the first buyer. Thank you very much. Once, with a doctor friend of mine, out of boredom we calculated how much will it cost to "feed" Guntram with drugs and the price was around 1.300 euros per month (Spanish prices and as private patient) without counting doctors' fees, tests and many other things. He also told me he has seen worse than Guntram and they still live to tell and misbehave much more than our dear boy.

I'm afraid I will not release any kind of digital copies of my work. I had enough troubles with pirats to hit my head against the same wall once more. Therefore, anyone can read the novel in parts like if you were in Adultfanfiction.net. That's the best I can do.

    Kind regards, Tionne

  4. I also just ordered my copy. I can't wait to get it! But refraining myself from attempting to read it in one go when I do will be difficult. By the way, I read the preview and Higashi and you did a wonderful work! (The coupons didn't work for me though.)

  9. The discount code works only when you shop in the US store.
I tried to shop in the German store, it didn't work.
As far as I can see, the Euro and US dollar price is the same.

    1. Look for the ones that apply to books. I also think that when you checkout on lulu.com a 20% discount is already included. I hope that helps.

  13. Hi, I hope I can help you with the coupons. Once you're in the webpage, pass your cursor over the small blue box (eg. MAYBOOKS12) and press ctr+C and then go to the shopping cart in Lulu.com and in the "coupon code" box make ctrl+V and click on apply after it shows up.

Once more thank you very much for your e-mails and comments. I'm crossing my fingers to be good enough as to meet your expectations.

    Cheers.

  16. Oh so lucky, I ordered mine on the 5th but the order is still "fulfilling" and not even ship yet. -_-; I'm getting an ulcer if the book is not here by the end of the next week.

  22. **Possible SPOILERS**

I received the book some time ago and am currently reading it. Actually, I already read it once quickly and will read it again more slowly once I'm done with my exams. Then I will write and post a review on Goodreads.
Meanwhile, I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely loved it! Some aspects of the story left me a bitter aftertaste but that what makes it so good. I'm just slightly frustrated because the end of the novel leaves us wanting to read more. That's a good thing in a way because you managed not to write an "and they lived happily ever after" kind of ending. Even if Guntram and Konrad have reached a new equilibrium, life goes on and difficulties will continue to arise. But yeah, I finished the book wanting more. I would love to know how the relationship between Guntram and his father will develop, how Goran will deal with his new responsibilities (and how/if Guntram will manage to convince him in the first place), and so on. I really grew attached to all of your characters so parting with them will be difficult but maybe the upcoming short stories will help.
I have a question though. Now that The Substitute is finished (unless you intend to write a sequel), do you plan to write other stories in the future?
